You can then email the text file or send it to cloud services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive or any other services you may use.
The text messages are presented in an easy to read manner with time stamps, recipients and the content of the text themselves.
Email Text Messages supports SMS messages only, if you need to export MMS messages then our Print Text Messages app is a better option, allowing you to generate PDFs instead, with embedded photos which you can print with Google CloudPrint connected printers.
